Harland Miller Heroin, It's What Your Right Arm's For

Harland Miller, his debut novel Slow Down Arthur, Stick to Thirty, the story of a kid who travelled around northern England with a David Bowie impersonator received critical acclaim. The following year he produced his first series of paintings based on the dust jackets of Penguin books. Since then, Miller has used the penguin motif to produce striking work which combine elements of pop art, abstraction, and figurative painting.

The covers that Miller depicts are tattered and dog-eared and the titles, which highlight his love of language, range from the nostalgic to the hilarious from the poignant to the melancholic.Harland MillerHeroin It's what your right arm is for, 2012Lot Number 15Giclee print22.8 x 16.5 in (57.91 x 41.91 cm)Edition of 50Signed lower right, numbered lower left, dated bottom center
